This Friday from 12-4pm, the Fanthorp Inn in Anderson will be offering Stagecoach rides as part of their grand reopening! The Fanthorp is a historical inn from around the 1830s - 1850s. It was a stop on a stagecoach route and notable people such as Sam Houston stayed there. They will have horse drawn stagecoach rides down Main Street in Anderson and around the historic courthouse. As part of their grand reopening, there will be dignitaries from the Texas State Historical Commission attending as well! This is a super interesting historical site and a great opportunity to learn more about Texas history in this area!
